Oregon Enacts Model Digital Assets Law

On March 3, 2016, Oregon enacted legislation providing personal representatives
of deceased individuals access to the email and social media
accounts of the deceased person. The bill was based on the Uniform
Fiduciary Access to Digital Assets Act and will be effective on
January 1, 2017.
