William F. McDevitt (Partner-Philadelphia) responded to a
request for comments in a recent article, "Panama Papers
expose legal industry's cyber-security threats," in the
July 6, 2016, issue of Penn Record. When the International
Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ) began publishing
data based on more than 11 million leaked files from a Panama law
firm's information and communications system this spring,
it highlighted the threats and liabilities law firms face when
confronted with cyber-security threats.
