In the June 16, 2016, Federal Register,
APHIS removed plants of the genus Celtis from the list of
regulated articles for the Asian longhorned beetle
("ALB"). APHIS determined that because plants of the
genus Celtis are not a host plant of ALB, there was no
need to restrict the movement of Celtis plants from ALB
quarantined areas. The Rule
is effective June 16, 2016, and comments are due August 15,
2016.
