The Future Isn't What it Used to Be: Sustainability and Energy Investments

The paper (in Italian), produced by Antonio Sileo, Director, Osservatorio Innov-E of I-Com and Research Fellow IEFE-Bocconi, was presented during the workshop "The Future Isn't What it Used to Be: Sustainability and Energy Investments" organized by The Adam Smith Society, of which Orrick is a partner. Prepared together with Carlo Montella, who spoke at the event, and Cristina Martorana, the document aims to state that a revolution in the energy market is going on. Electric energy production and distribution from renewables sources has assumed significant proportions, changing the level of centralization reached last century. Mr. Sileo offers an overview of all energy market aspects, from the climate change to future legislation, regarding energy's renewable innovations and distribution on Italian soil. With his work Antonio doesn't intend to be conclusive, but to bring attention to the rapid changes that have been and are still ongoing.
