On July 13, 2017, the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services issued for comment a 664-page proposed rule that, among other things, makes changes to the reimbursement methodology under Medicare Part B for drugs administered by hospitals under the 340B drug program.

Notably, under the proposed rule, reimbursement to hospitals would change from the current ASP plus 6 percent to ASP minus 22.5 percent. Comments on this proposed rule are being accepted through September 11, 2017, at 5 p.m. EST.
