The FDIC, the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System ("FRB") and the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency ("OCC") proposed revisions to the Consolidated Reports of Condition and Income ("call reports"). The revisions, issued as part of a Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council ("FFIEC") effort to ease reporting burdens for financial institutions, would take effect on June 30, 2018.

The proposed changes would affect all call report forms (FFIEC 031, FFIEC 041 and FFIEC 051). Specifically, they would remove or consolidate certain items, and institute new or raise existing reporting thresholds. To see the specific changes proposed, the FFIEC provided redlined documents demonstrating the call report form revisions (see redlined FFIEC 031, FFIEC 041 and FFIEC 051).

Comments on the proposed revisions must be received by January 8, 2018.
