Outdoor Retailer + Snow Show, the largest trade show in the outdoor industry, is set to kick off in Denver this week. Some 1,000 outdoor-oriented brands will be exhibiting in the Colorado Convention Center during the four-day event while the Outdoor Industry Association, a lead sponsor of Outdoor Retailer, hosts educational forums, presentations, and entertainment events for the show's participants. The move of Outdoor Retailer to Denver underscores the importance of the outdoor industry to Colorado. The industry annually generates $28 billion in consumer spending in the state, contributes $9.7 billion in wages and salaries and $2 billion in state and local tax revenue, and supports 229,000 jobs across the state.  In honor of the kickoff of the show, Colorado's legislature has introduced House Joint Resolution 18-1002, enthusiastically welcoming Outdoor Retailer to Colorado, and requesting that Colorado continue its support for the outdoor industry and its legacy of funding and expanding access to public lands and waters.  To view the resolution,  click here.
