On Tuesday, Delaware will become the first state to allow sports
betting following the Supreme Court's decision to overturn
legislation banning sports betting. Delaware will begin offering
single game betting for various sports in the state's three
casinos Tuesday afternoon. On May 14th, the Supreme Court
overturned the Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act which
banned sports betting in the majority of U.S. states paving the way
for states to allow sports betting. Other states are expected to
follow suit shortly thereafter as New Jersey is attempting to pass
a bill next week to regulate sports betting while other states have
legislation in place already.
