New York is one of the world's leading arbitration centres.
New York regularly ranks first in North America, and fourth
globally, among all arbitral sites for International Chamber of
Commerce (ICC) arbitrations, and it is the most important venue for
arbitration in the United States. New York is regarded as the site
of one-third to one-half of the international commercial
arbitrations taking place nationally. Countless hearings also are
held in New York each year in cases sited elsewhere but for which
the city is a convenient and attractive location.
