On August 31, the California legislature passed a bill to amend the California Consumer
Privacy Act of 2018 ("CCPA"). Amendments include
exemptions relating to health information by certain entities,
including providers and entities covered by HIPAA and related state
laws, business associates, and those collecting health information
as part of clinical trials.
