The SEC Office of Investor Education and Advocacy
("OIEA") described the risks and benefits of variable
life insurance. In a new Investor Bulletin, the OIEA also provided
information on fees and expenses, insurance options and links to
additional resources.
The new Investor Bulletin was issued a few days after the SEC
proposed rules and form amendments to improve disclosures to
investors in variable annuities and variable life insurance
contracts.
