Shearman & Sterling released the 17th Annual Corporate Governance & Executive Compensation Survey, featuring a special focus on Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) issues.

The 2019 Corporate Governance & Executive Compensation Survey provides insights on issues including human capital management, gender pay disparity, board diversity and corporate culture. Other topics covered in the Survey include proxy access, shareholder activism, shareholder proposals, governance practices of newly public companies, CEO pay ratio and cybersecurity. Additionally, the Survey reviews key governance characteristics of the 100 largest public companies listed on the NYSE or Nasdaq.

We hope the Survey will be a useful resource to help companies consider the leading governance issues and develop their approach and framework to the ESG issues that are relevant to them.
