The amendment newly stipulates the conditions under which a customs office shall repay or remit import duty. If the application for repayment or remission of duty is turned down, a new application may be submitted at the earliest 60 days after the day when the negative decision was delivered. The new application has to contain different reasons for repaying or remitting of duty from the previous application.
