The Examination Guidelines for Patent and Utility Model were
thoroughly updated on September 16, 2015. Among others, the
guidelines stipulated in the "Interim Handling Procedures for
Examinations and Appeals/Trials involving Product-by-process
Claims," as described in the July 2015 issue, have been
included in these updated Guidelines. These updated Guidelines are
applied to examinations that take place on and after October 1,
2015.
