International Tax Review names PLMJ "Tax Firm of The Year 2016"

The leading international tax publication, "International Tax Review" has named PLMJ best tax law firm in Portugal for 2016. This is an award PLMJ has now won four times, the last being in 2014. The "Portugal Tax Firm of the Year 2016" award recognises the work done by PLMJ's tax law team and highlights its excellent technical response to a full range of situations, and its professional innovation in the services it provides.

This award is given on the basis of an annual analysis of the international tax services market, and it takes into account the feedback received from clients, law firms and tax consultants questioned for this purpose.

For Nuno Cunha Barnabé, the partner who heads PLMJ Tax, "this award is recognition of a team that has been consolidating its position in Portugal and on an international level. The team continues to merit the trust of its clients and of the leading international law firms for the advice it provides in the wide range of operations it handles, dealing with both tax consultancy and tax litigation".

In 2015, the PLMJ tax team strengthened its international position through the offices of PLMJ International Legal Network in Angola, Mozambique, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Italy and Brazil.

The PLMJ Tax team, led by Nuno Cunha Barnabé, also includes partners João Magalhães Ramalho, Serena Cabrita Neto and Miguel C. Reis. They are part of a team of lawyers based in Lisbon, Oporto, Faro, Luanda and Maputo.
