On 24 February 2017, at the constituent assembly of the Public Council of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (AMCU), Oleksandr Nagorny, counsel at Sayenko Kharenko, was appointed to the position of Deputy Chairman. Overall, 43 representatives of civil society institutions participated in the constituent assembly. A total of 41 members were elected to the Public Council.

Oleksandr Nagorny specializes in antitrust, competition and finance law. He also has unique experience providing consultancy services to clients covering all matters within the jurisdiction of AMCU.

Vladimir Sayenko, partner at Sayenko Kharenko, was elected for the third time as a member of the Public Council. Mr Sayenko leads the antimonopoly law practice at the law firm and actively promotes the development of competition law in Ukraine.

The Public Council of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine is a permanent collegial elective consultative and advisory body charged with ensuring participation of the public in the public affairs management, while also imposing public control over the AMCU's activities and establishing effective interaction between AMCU with the public.
