We are very proud to inform you that the general meeting of the PLMJ partners has promoted three new partners and seven managing associates. The firm now has 58 partners among a total of 281 lawyers, all of whom work on a daily basis to find the most effective and innovative solutions, to ensure we exceed the expectations of our clients.

MARGARIDA OSÓRIO DE AMORIM

Margarida Osório de Amorim graduated in law from the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon and is a graduate of the European Young Lawyer Scheme, sponsored by the British Consulate in cooperation with the College of Law in London. She also completed a postgraduate updating course in tourism law at the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon. Margarida became a managing associate in 2016 and, throughout her career, she has been seen frequently in the media and has written articles on real estate and tourism for a number of media outlets. In 2015, she was recognised by the directory The Legal 500 in the area of real estate.

PEDRO CAETANO NUNES

Pedro Caetano Nunes earned a doctorate in private law from the Faculty of Law of Universidade Nova de Lisboa, where he also lectures. He earned his law degree from the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon and a master's in legal sciences from the same university. He qualified as a judge at the Centre for Judicial Studies, where he is now a lecturer. At PLMJ since 2014, Pedro Caetano Nunes frequently speaks at congresses and meetings area of specialisation. He was previously a judge in the Lisbon civil courts, and in the courts of Grândola and Porto de Mós.

SARA BLANCO DE MORAIS

Sara Blanco de Morais is currently studying for her doctorate. She already has a master's in legal-and administrative sciences, a postgraduate in town and country planning and tourism, and a law degree from the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon. She has also attended a postgraduate course in logistics and was a guest lecturer at the Faculty of Sciences and Technology of Universidade Nova de Lisboa. She is a member of the panel of arbitrators of the CAAD (Centre for Administrative Arbitration). Sara became head of the PLMJ town and country planning team in 2016. She has been recognised on numerous occasions by international directories Chambers and Partners and The Legal 500. In 2016, she was shortlisted for the Financial Times' 2016 Young Legal Innovator award.

INÊS GOMES DA CRUZ

Inês Gomes da Cruz is a managing associate in the commercial litigation team. She earned her law degree from the Faculty of Law of Universidade Lusíada and now has extensive experience in the area of restructuring and insolvency litigation. She was recently shortlisted for the Women in Law 2017 awards. In her professional career, Inês has also been recognised by Euromoney Expert Guides and The Legal 500, and she is the author of a number of articles in the commercial litigation and arbitration.

Telma Pires de Lima earned her law degree from the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon. She has a postgraduate court practice and providing legal advice to companies from the Faculty of Law of Universidade Católica Portuguesa. She also attended a postgraduate course in contract and consumer law at the Faculty of Law of the University of Coimbra. NUNO LUIS SAPATEIRO

Nuno Luis Sapateiro earned his law degree from Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa and has postgraduate qualifications in energy law from the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon, and in insurance law from the same faculty with the Portuguese Section of the International Association of Insurance Law. Now a managing associate in the PLMJ Corporate / M&A team, over recent years he has focused on the insurance and aviation sectors, and has handled numerous M&A operations in these industries. MARTA COSTA

Marta Costa earned a doctorate in civil law from the Faculty of Law of the University of Coimbra and the Faculty of Law of the University of Bologna, where she was also a monitor and tutor. She has a law degree from the Faculty of Law of the University of Coimbra and a postgraduate in civil law, family law, telecommunications law and consumer law. She was also a lecturer at Universidade Lusíada in Lisbon and a guest lecturer at Universidade Portucalense. Catarina Guedes de Carvalho earned her law degree from the Faculty of Law of Universidade Nova de Lisboa and specialises in litigation and debt recovery. Rodrigo Formigal earned his law degree from the Faculty of Law of Universidade Católica Portuguesa. Besides having an MBA in business management from the same faculty, he has lectured on the postgraduate course in compliance at the Higher Institute of Banking Management. Rodrigo has gained extensive experience. PACÔME ZIEGLER

Pacôme Ziegler earned his law degree from the University of Paris I La Sorbonne and specialised in business and EU law the University of Rennes I. Pacôme, who specialises in international arbitration, has also studied at Queen Mary University in London and at the Paris Bar School (Ecole de Formation des Barreaux de la Cour D'appel de Paris).
