On 15 May 2018, a new online tool called eDesk was made available for the online issuance of residence certificates for Luxembourg investment funds, investment fund managers and securitisation undertakings and also for the issuance of UCITS and AIFMD/ESMA attestations for non-EU countries.
It replaces the current email procedure.
The documents will be issued in PDF and will include a certified digital signature by the CSSF.
The online tool is available in three languages (French, English and German) and its functionalities will be developed in the future.
However, the electronic UCITS attestation requests and the AIFMD/ESMA attestation for non-EU countries will continue to be processed through the secured channels (e-file or SOFiE).
