The Malta Financial Services Authority ('MFSA') has, on the 16th of May 2018, published the following parts of the Investment Services Rules for Alternative Investment Funds ('AIFs'):

  • Part A – The Application Process;
  • Part B – Standard Licence Conditions applicable to AIFs;
  • Appendix I – Supplementary Licence Conditions applicable to AIFs adopting different structures; and
  • The Glossary.

The Rules were updated to reflect the revised definition of a "qualifying investor".

The revisions are applicable with immediate effect and can be viewed in the full list of Rules for AIFs available through this link.
