The Turkish Grand National Assembly selects the members of the First Personal Data Protection Board
The Personal Data Protection Board (Board) is expected to be established by October 07, 2016. The Board is the first supervisory authority of Turkey in Data Protection area. The five members of the Board are selected by the Turkish Grand National Assembly today.
The board will be consisting of nine members. Five members of the board are selected by the Turkish Grand National Assembly whereas the two members will be selected by the President of the Republic of Turkey and the rest two members by the Council of Ministers.
The Turkish Grand National Assembly selected the 5 members of the Personal Data Protection Board on October 05, 2016. The selection of the 2 members by the President and 2 members by the Council of Ministers is now expected.
