On Tuesday 17 July 2018, Deloitte hosted this year edition of Deloitte Nigeria Talent Management Forum. The event was organised to present the Deloitte 2018 Human Capital Trends survey, which explored the transition of organisations from business enterprises into social enterprises.

The survey elicited responses from 11,000 people, as against 10,400 of 2017. Nigeria had 102 respondents this year. The event provided an opportunity for HR practitioners to share ideas on how organisational human capital can be utilised to its maximum potential.

Joseph Olofinsola, Human Capital Consulting Partner, in his opening remarks emphasised the need for companies to move away from the traditional way of running an organisation and to embrace digitalisation which is powering the workplace of the 21st century.

#TheSocialEnterprise had a panel discussion session to do a deep dive into the 9 key themes of the 2018 Deloitte Human Capital Trends – Workforce Ecosystem; the Longevity Dividend; AI, Robotics & Automation; New Rewards; Hyper Connected workplace; People Data; Well-being; Citizenship & Social Impact. The session was anchored by Linda Quaynor, Partner/Strategy and Operations Leader, Consulting.

The Panellists included: Mr. Udom Inoyo, Vice Chairman of Mobil Producing Nigeria; Mr. Usen Udoh, CHRO of Dangote Group; Mrs Enitan Oyenuga, Human Resources Director of Coca-Cola; Rosie Ebe-Arthur, CHRO of First Bank of Nigeria; Mrs Olufunke Amobi,Country Head, Human Resources of StanbicIBTC; Mrs Chizoba Mojekwu, Head, Capacity Development of Central Bank of Nigeria.

The Panel session was followed by a very engaging Q & A segment. The event yet again signposted Deloitte leadership in shaping discussions on the future of work.
