We would like to sincerely congratulate our Senior Associate Mr. Maxim Dogonkin, who has become a member of the nongovernmental organization Buyuk Kelajak, unifying Uzbekistan's best professionals with international experience able to advice on or to lead those rapid legal reforms that are ongoing in Uzbekistan. The organization is attentively nurtured by the Uzbek government, holds regular meetings and conferences across Uzbekistan, actively cooperates with ministries and state agencies for preparing legal acts and developing action plans for reforming the country. The majority of experts within the organization have solid experience of working within the world's largest institutions, corporations and universities, have made an outstanding career outside Uzbekistan or have obtained some unique experience necessary for the country. Some experts of Buyuk Kelajak were appointed as Uzbekistan's top officials during the previous year.

Maxim is a member of the UEA Center of Competition Policy (Norwich, United Kingdom), has been recognized as the Next Generation Lawyer in Uzbekistan by the international ranking agency The Legal 500 throughout 2017-2019, is a contributor to World Bank's Doing Business evaluation of Uzbek business law and the author of several articles on the Uzbek competition legislation. We believe that Maxim's deep knowledge in the sphere of EU and CIS competition law, privatization and de-statization processes, the regulation of state aid and legal unbundling of natural monopolies along with expertise in corporate law, foreign investment and project finance will be an invaluable contribution to activities of Buyuk Kelajak and reforms in Uzbekistan.
