The latest webinar in our 2019 Labour & Employment Webinar Series will feature France.

Since the election of Emmanuel Macron as President in 2017, ambitious reforms have been taking place. Many of these directly involve or impact France's labour laws. The government of France continues to implement changes aimed at boosting the competitiveness of French businesses.

On 12 November 2019, Jean-François Rage and Cristelle Devergies-Bouron from our Paris office will focus on the key recent changes, including the new law on the growth and transformation of companies, known as "PACTE Law". The employment law objectives of this new law are clear: to give companies the means to transform, innovate and develop, thus promoting job creation. The new legislation will affect both small and large employers and covers a range of measures, including the simplification of workforce thresholds, the development of employee profit sharing schemes, the modification of retirement savings plans, greater involvement by employees in the governance of companies, etc.

Jean-François and Cristelle will also discuss how the new legislation on gender pay equality is being implemented in France and lessons for employers.

The 50-minute presentation in English will be followed by a 10-minute online question and answer session.

Intended to help you manage labour and employment law risk across your international operations, the webinar will be of interest to both HR professionals and in-house counsel.

This webinar is part of our 2019 series focusing on the key labour and employment issues in countries throughout Europe, the Middle East, Asia Pacific and the US.
