Kelowna, B.C. — February 4, 2020 — The Chartered Professional Accountants of British Columbia (CPABC) has recognized Crowe MacKay's, Mark Dickie, FCPA, FCA with a fellowship, the highest distinction that is bestowed upon a CPA within the accounting profession. Nominated and selected by a committee of their peers, CPABC's Fellows are leaders, innovators, and mentors known for their dedication and commitment to their communities and to the CPA profession.

Mark Dickie has been a trusted leader at Crowe MacKay LLP since 2003. Serving as a Partner, and now as a professional standards leader, he is respected as an expert on professional standards and complex accounting and audit issues. With nearly 45 years of experience, Mark provides guidance to Crowe MacKay's nine offices across Northern and Western Canada in ensuring the firm's professional and technical standards for accounting and assurance services are maintained at the highest level, including staying on top of current developments in standards; assisting in developing policies and procedures; and providing training in, and assistance with, implementation of new standards. In addition, Mark also follows up with each of our offices to evaluate the extent of compliance with those standards.

Mark's passion for volunteerism began in the 1970's. During this time, he served as a director with the Northern BC Healthcare Foundation, where he contributed to a team that raised $1.5 million for a hospice society. Dickie also volunteered within his profession for over 40 years, including serving on CPABC's Investigations Committee.
