Thinking of working remotely and in another country? Barbados offers that opportunity.  Barbados' friendly people, idyllic weather, excellent quality of life, excellent infrastructure, high standard of education, as well as its safety and security record, all combine to make the island an ideal place to live.

The Government of Barbados is ready to accept applications for the 12-month Barbados Welcome Stamp, the new visa that allows visitors to relocate and work remotely in the country.

The Prime Minister of Barbados, the Hon. Mia Mottley, Q.C., M.P., has been promoting the timely initiative globally over the past few weeks. The programme has so far generated considerable interest from persons living abroad, particularly the digital nomads communities. According to Prime Minister Mottley, all persons who meet the criteria are welcome to be a part of the programme. This includes both singles and families.

Persons wishing to apply can visit the official website: www.barbadoswelcomestamp.bb to learn more about the requirements, complete and submit the form electronically, along with the necessary documents.

The Remote Employment Bill, 2020 was passed in the Barbados Senate on July 22, 2020.
