Eric Love, an associate in Jones Day's New York Office, has been selected to serve as the Metropolitan Black Bar Association's (MBBA) representative on the Advisory Committee to the New York State Bar Association's (NYSBA) Task Force on Racial Injustice and Police Reform. Mr. Love also serves on the Board of Directors of the MBBA.

In June 2020, NYSBA President Scott Karson created the Task Force to analyze the criminal justice system and to recommend meaningful reforms intended to eliminate the scourges of racism and disparate treatment of our citizens. The Task Force is charged with evaluating the impact of racial injustice on police practices and to provide a report to the NYSBA House of Delegates recommending ways to reform police practices.

Mr. Love represents financial institutions and multinational corporations in a wide variety of complex regulatory, compliance, enforcement, and litigation matters. He concentrates his practice on the regulation of fintech, broker-dealers, and investment advisers, and on the formation and regulation of private investment funds (such as hedge, private equity, venture capital, and real estate funds). He is a member of the NYSBA's Private Investment Funds Subcommittee.
