Ogier has, working with UK law firm Wedlake Bell partners Rosalyn Breedy, Edward Craft, Justin McGilloway and senior associate Kamalprit Lally, advised on the establishment of Rigtrain plc, a leading international training provider to the energy, maritime and renewables industries.

Rigtrain plc possesses an extensive portfolio of courses which can be delivered on-board anywhere in the world by teams of fully qualified instructor/assessors. It includes delivering training on platforms, drillships, semi-submersibles, jack-ups, seismic vessels, pipelaying vessels, and wind turbine installation vessels

Partner Sophie Reguengo and associate William Costa advised the client, alongside Wedlake Bell, on all aspects of the Jersey establishment documents and all corporate and regulatory documents.

Sophie Reguengo said: "We are delighted to have continued working with the Rigtrain team on such a significant milestone for the founder of the Rigtrain business, which is further evidence of the continued optimism in the energy, maritime and renewable market.

"Jersey has a robust governance offering and flexible Companies law which makes it a sound jurisdiction for public limited companies such as Rigtrain. Investment in renewable energy solutions and related products continues to gain momentum. This is an area where Ogier leads the pack, with our ground-breaking Impact Funds and ESG Advisory services - and as this deal shows, our expertise covers a broad spectrum of matters with an ESG overlap."
