Jones Day's Artur Badra, of counsel in the Firm's M&A Practice, was named by Latinvex to its list of "Latin America's Rising Legal Stars" for 2020. He is one of 25 lawyers on the list, and is recognized in the Corporate/M&A category. As a resident of the Firm's São Paulo and Madrid offices, Mr. Badra is one of only two Brazil-based lawyers recognized by Latinvex.

Mr. Badra has extensive experience coordinating the corporate legal strategy for global clients doing business in Latin America. He focuses predominantly in the areas of M&A for domestic and multinational companies, cross-border transactions, restructuring of corporate groups, joint ventures, and other forms of business cooperation in Latin America. Mr. Badra also handles the local coordination of global antitrust matters and internal corporate investigations of fraud and violations of anticorruption and antitrust laws. He joined Jones Day in Madrid in 2007 and has been a key contributor in Jones Day's São Paulo Office since its inception in 2011.

Latinvex selected its list of Rising Legal Stars across five categories (Arbitration & Litigation, Banking & Finance, Capital Markets, Corporate/M&A, Project Finance, and FCPA & Fraud). The 25 lawyers were selected based on the scope and prominence of their work and future potential. The editors at Latinvex relied heavily on their own survey of leading international law firms.
