CHICAGO, January 25, 2021 – Proskauer, a leading international law firm, today announced that Nigel F. Telman has been named the Head of the Chicago office.

Nigel is a partner in the Firm's Labor & Employment Group and succeeds Jeff Marwil.

"Nigel is an outstanding attorney with a deep understanding of the Chicago market, having worked in the city for the past 28 years. He is well-known and respected as a 'board room' lawyer who provides strategic counsel to help our clients navigate through their most challenging employment-related investigations, disputes, and litigation matters," said Steven M. Ellis, Chairman of Proskauer.

"Chicago is an important office for us and our clients, and we will continue to look for the right opportunities to add new talent and grow our presence in the market. In December, we were delighted to welcome Todd Ohlms to our litigation practice," said Mr. Ellis.

"I am thrilled to have been asked to lead our office and am looking forward to continuing our efforts to grow and expand. Chicago is a tremendous city with a strong and vibrant legal community. We have a history of working with many of the corporations and institutions which make this great city their home and we will remain dedicated to providing the highest level of client service while giving back to the community," said Nigel Telman.

Nigel leads the Employment practice in the Chicago office and is co-head of the Employment Litigation & Arbitration Group. He is an experienced trial lawyer who represents our clients in high stakes litigation matters throughout the United States.

Nigel graduated from Cornell School of Industrial and Labor Relations with a B.S. and from Boston University School of Law with a J.D.

He is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Museum of Contemporary Art (MCA).

"I also want to take the opportunity to thank Jeff Marwil for his efforts as the Head of our Chicago office. He has done a terrific job and is a valued partner who will continue to serve as the co-head of our Business Solutions, Governance, Restructuring & Bankruptcy Group," added Mr. Ellis.

Since opening in 2008, Proskauer's Chicago office has provided clients with a robust lineup of experienced attorneys across multiple practices.
