Maples and Calder (Ireland) LLP, the Maples Group's law firm, is pleased to have advised SportCaller on the Irish corporate legal aspects of its sale to Bally's Corporation.

Irish gaming software business Horses Mouth, trading as SportCaller, has been acquired by US casino giant Bally's Corporation for €40 million. Joining the Bally's team will allow them to create free-to-play (F2P) games for the US and further invest in their B2B base in Dublin and Kyiv.

Dublin-based SportCaller is one of the leading B2B F2P game providers for sports betting and media companies across North America, the UK, Europe, Asia, Australia, Latin America and Africa. Its customers include Paddy Power-Betfair, Coral, William Hill, Virgin Bet and CBS Sports. The company has deep technology and product expertise in prediction, quiz/trivia, pay-to-play, bespoke and turn-key app games.

A team based in the Group's Irish office advised SportCaller and was led by Colm Rafferty, a Partner and co-head of the Irish Corporate practice, who was assisted by Of Counsel, Jordan O'Brien and Associate, Éanna Malone.

Commenting on the transaction, Colm Rafferty said: "We are incredibly pleased to have advised SportCaller and its shareholders on its exciting acquisition by Bally's Corporation. A huge congratulations to Cillian Barry and all the SportCaller team."
