Laos has had competition law in some form since 2004, when
Decree 15/PMO (4/2/2004) on Trade Competition was promulgated.
However, the Decree has not been implemented to date, and this is
unlikely to change in the immediate future given that there appear
to be plans to have a more comprehensive competition regime passed
by the National Assembly Conference in 2015.
The content of this article is intended to provide a general
guide to the subject matter. Specialist advice should be sought
about your specific circumstances.
