Solvent entities reaching the end of their commercial life is a
normal and necessary stage in the business cycle. A key
question that then arises regarding the management of this process
is whether termination of the legal entity should be effected by
way of a voluntary liquidation or a simple strike off.
Although a strike off may seem like an economical and easy
solution, voluntary liquidation offers significant advantages, not
least in respect of certainty and finality, which should not be
overlooked.
