Private companies with limited liability
On 5 June 2012, the Committee on Safety and Justice of the First Chamber of Dutch Parliament issued its final report on the Bill on simpler and more flexible laws of private companies with limited liability (''BVs'') and its introductory bill 1. Today, both proposals were dealt with as a formality. Implementation of both bills will take place on 1 October 2012.
To assist our clients in keeping pace with these changes, we will be sending a more comprehensive legal alert very soon. We will also be launching a web tool concerning simpler and more flexible laws for BVs. This will be followed up by a manual on simpler and more flexible laws for BVs. We will also focus on significant aspects of these legislative changes during our seminar of Tuesday 25 September 2012.
Bills on management and supervision, and claw back
The Committee on Safety and Justice of the Second Chamber of Dutch Parliament advised on 31 May 2012 to declare the Repair bill on management and supervision 2 and the Bill on claw back 3 non-controversial. Given the number of amendments proposed to these bills, however, these bills and the Bill on management and supervision 4 are not expected to be implemented in the short-term.
