Since last March 26, 2020, and as a result of the health emergency, by means of an agreement published in the Federal Official Gazette, the suspension of the deadlines and legal terms in the procedures carried out in the Ministry of Health was established.

From September 1st, 2020 all the statutory terms of the procedures in charge of the Ministry of Health and its administrative units, will be resumed.

In addition to the lifting of the suspension of legal terms, this AGREEMENT contemplates the following:

  • Applications for extensions of licenses, permits and marketing authorizations that should have been processed during the non-working days' period will be understood to have been extended for 180 calendar days from their expiration.
  • The statutory term to attend to the letters of requirements issued by COFEPRIS regarding the applications for licenses, permits and marketing authorizations, will be extended up to 30 calendar days from the publication of this agreement, when said term has elapsed within the non-working days' period.
  • Subsequently, COFEPRIS will announce the proceeding for accessing and requesting appointments to attend to procedures and services.
