Following the recent GCC Supreme Council meeting, the GCC Patent
office will no longer be accepting new patent filings as of January

January 2021, a decision was made to amend the existing GCC Patent
Law, which has been subsequently approved.
The GCC Patent Office will continue to operate with regard to
pending and granted patents. Alternative measures include national
patent applications, and/or designating each Gulf state in a PCT
application.
