The Board of Advertisement has decided on July 14, 2020 for suspension of the complained advertisements with regard to "No Attack" branded products and also imposed a fine of TRY 104'781.- (for each) on the advertiser as well as individuals promoting this product through social media accounts.

The Board has indicated that it is prohibited to make any kind of health declarations concerning food supplements without receiving the permissions from the relevant Regulatory Authority, i.e. Turkish Ministry of Health Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Agency.

The Board states that the advertising videos subject to complaint included the message that this product can be used in respect of the viral infections such as Covid-19, flu and cold and that would be helpful for treatment. Therefore, the Board has concluded that the advertisements concerning "No attack" branded products were misleading and deceptive since they were promoted as if they were pharmaceuticals and no authorization was obtained from the related Regulatory Authority.
