The General Directorate of Occupational Health and Safety of The Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Services ("Directorate") published a guide ("Guide") entitled Frequently Asked Questions and Answers Regarding Occupational Health and Safety in Combating Novel Coronavirus ("Covid-19") Outbreak on 10.04.2020.

In the Guide; the measures that employers, employees, occupational health and safety professionals, joint health and safety units ("OSGB") and educational institutions should take within the scope of occupational health and safety legislation in combating against Covid-19 being detailed, personal protective equipment, such as masks and gloves, and usage information of them are covered.

In addition, emphasizing that employers should update their risk assessments and emergency plans according to the Covid-19 outbreak, employers are recommended to re-plan their work schedules exemplifying working models such as remote work and job rotation. There are detailed explanations regarding the identification of the employee who has Covid-19 disease/suspicion in the workplace and the actions to be taken after the detection.

In the Guide, questions regarding measures to be taken in workplaces of different sectors such as construction sites, underground mining enterprises, agriculture and livestock businesses, cargo and delivery companies, markets are also answered.
