Effective Date For Turkish Mining Waste Regulation Extended To July 2017

The effective date for mining waste-management regulation has
been postponed in Turkey from 15 July 2016 to 15 July 2017. The
Mining Waste Regulation introduces principles for mining
waste-management relating to exploration, extraction, enrichment
and mine storage activities. It was published in Official Gazette
number 29417 on 15 July 2015. Please see this

More recently, the Regulation Amending the Mining Waste
Regulation was published in Official Gazette number 29772 on 15
July 2016. The Amendment Regulation extends the effective date by a
further 12 months, to become 15 July 2017.
