A new version of the BSA/AML Manual, which governs how financial
institutions and non-financial institutions in the U.S. are
supposed to comply with the Bank Secrecy Act when creating
compliance programs, was released this week.
Partner Jeffrey Alberts, co-chair of Pryor Cashman's
Financial Institutions Group, shared a few thoughts on how the new
manual may help banks and FinTechs by potentially reducing their
exposure to fines.
