SEC Director of the Division of Investment Management (the "Division") Dalia Blass will leave  the agency in January 2021.

According to the agency announcement, during her tenure Ms. Blass oversaw 70 regulatory initiatives at the Division and worked to:

  • modernize the regulatory framework for the asset management industry;
  • improve effective disclosure for investors;
  • move the agency toward adopting the Standards of Conduct rulemaking package to improve the financial professional-retail investor relationship;
  • ensure market integrity and investor protection through the Covid-19 pandemic;
  • launch a board outreach initiative to review and reevaluate board responsibilities; and
  • increase regulatory oversight and industry supervision.

Sarah ten Siethoff will become Acting Division Director upon Ms. Blass's departure.
