El Banco central del Uruguay (BCU) dispuso en la nueva normativa
la creaciónde un registro de entidades que brindan servicios
de pago y cobranza.
A partir de la vigencia de esta normativa,dichas empresas
deberán "disponer de los mecanismos de
prevención de lavado de activos y financiamiento del
terrorismo".
Estasempresas también deberán
adoptarpolíticas de contingencia, entregar balances e
información sobre su plan de negocios y la
identificación de sus accionistas. ElBCU podrá
ademássolicitar garantías a las empresas.
