WEBINAR DESCRIPTION

Europe: Data Ethics

In general "data ethics" may be considered as the ethical dimension of the relations between technology on the one side and citizens’ fundamental rights, the rule of law and fundamental societal values on the other, which the technological development gives reason to consider. The term "data" includes the processing of all types of data and is not limited to the processing of personal data. This webinar will give you an understanding of applicable rules on data ethics, which impact it has and is expected to have in the future, and you will learn more about how to incorporate data ethics into your daily practices, offering a system of concepts and an appreciation of the interplay between compliance and data ethics. You will also learn how to explore and use data in a way that allows for effective protection of personal data. Lastly, Tina Brøgger Sørensen and Tim Clements will share with you experiences and recommendations from their professional work and give you input as to how to draft a data ethics policy.
