Goodman Derrick LLP is very pleased to announce that experienced employment law partner Helen Brooks has joined the firm's Employment Department.

Helen joins from Charles Russell LLP where she had been a partner since 2006. Helen's practice is made up of contentious and non-contentious employment work and specialist health and safety advice. Helen advises UK, European and international businesses at all stages of their business cycle; she also acts for employees. Helen's advisory expertise is complemented by her early experience as a High Court litigator and latterly tribunal specialist (including appeals to the Employment Appeals Tribunal). Helen has particular experience of advising on redundancies, relocations, outsourcing, business transfers, business protection, restrictive covenants and confidential information.

Alison Downie, Head of Goodman Derrick's Employment and Discrimination Department said: "Our growing team of specialist employment and discrimination lawyers acts for the widest range of employers and employees, often in some of the most complex and cutting edge cases and situations. I'm really pleased that Helen has agreed to join us and is bringing such a wealth of experience with her."

Helen Brooks said: "I'm delighted to be joining the employment and discrimination team here. My practice and sector experience fit really well with Goodman Derrick's and I am looking forward to introducing my clients to the wider team of highly experienced, extremely well-regarded and commercially minded partners at the firm."
