Istanbul, Turkey, 1 April 2015 – Japanese food conglomerate, Nipponham Group, acquires shares in Turkey's largest broiler chick producer, Ege-Tav.

A team of lawyers from Esin Attorney Partnership, a member firm of Baker & McKenzie International, advised EGE-TAV Ege Tarim Hayvancilik Yatirim Tic. ve San. A.S. (Ege-Tav) on the sale of 60% of its shares to Nipponham Group. The deal was signed December 15, 2014 and closed April 1, 2015.
The deal was led by M&A Partner Eren Kursun with support from Associates Berat Hamzaoglu, Demet Kasarcioglu and Mehmetcan Atasoy in Istanbul.
The Ege-Tav acquisition is Nipponham Group's largest acquisition to date. The acquisition will enable Nipponham to capture more of the global market for poultry products. Nipponham currently operates the world's fifth largest fresh meat business with plans to climb into third place with its international expansion.
