Dr. Tamera Weisser, Ph.D. was named to the San Diego Business Journal 2024 "Women of Influence 50 Over 50" list. The list honors influential women over fifty for their contributions to the community and commitment to their profession.

Dr. Weisser is a partner in Jones Day's Intellectual Property Practice based in the San Diego Office. She leads the global patent prosecution team across the United States, Europe, and Asia. With 25 years of experience in global patent portfolio development, management, and enforcement in biotechnology, particularly in the areas of antibody, cell, and gene therapies, her practice also includes performing patent validity and freedom-to-operate analyses and conducting due diligence of patent portfolios for potential investors, acquirers, and licensees. She has developed IP strategies for dozens of therapeutics—including some of the best-selling medicines in the world.

She previously served on the board of governors for Biocom, as well as the boards of directors for both Lawyers Club of San Diego and the Association for Women in Science.
