Jones Day's Laura Pembridge, of counsel in the Firm's Private Equity Practice and based in London, was named to Law.com International | UK | Legal Week's "Rising Stars: Europe's Best Up-and-Coming Private Equity Lawyers" list.

The list includes only 25 lawyers across the United Kingdom and Continental Europe, and is based on the quality of each lawyer's client base; the scale, significance, and complexity of deals; client feedback and general market reputation; the standing of their mentor; and any other examples of career success and innovation.

Ms. Pembridge focuses on international and domestic private equity, venture capital, and M&A transactions, acting for institutional investors, founders, management teams, and corporate clients. She advises on a wide variety of transactions, including acquisitions, disposals, investments, restructurings, and joint ventures. She is a key member of the Firm's global private equity team, which advises clients in the United Kingdom and around the world on all aspects of private equity transactions including buyouts, venture investments, co-investments, fund formations, and take-private transactions.

Among her recent matters, Ms. Pembridge co-led Jones Day's team advising the management team of Ki, the first fully digital and algorithmically-driven Lloyd's syndicate, in raising $500 million from funds managed by Blackstone Tactical Opportunities and Fairfax Financial Holdings, and was a key part of Jones Day's team that advised Earls Court Investment Holdings Ltd, a joint venture between a fund advised by Delancey and APG on behalf of its pension fund clients, in connection with its £425 million acquisition of the Earls Court development site in London from Capital & Counties Properties Plc. Ms. Pembridge also co-led the team that advised Asia-Germany Industrial Promotion Limited (AGIC Capital), a European-Asian private equity fund focused on investments in high quality industrial and medical companies, in its acquisition of a majority stake in Farsound Limited, a leading provider of technology enabled supply chain solutions, for a total enterprise value of £115 million.
