The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has instructed the Ministry of Statistics to set up the State Register of Enterprises and Organisations. The Register should contain the following information in respect of all legal entities operating in Ukraine: identification code of the entity, name, address, ownership, managers, investors, shareholders and selected technical and financial information. Setting up branches will require filing an appropriate resolution and branch charter with the local statistical office.

Commencing 1 April 1996 the tax authorities, customs offices and banks are required to stop accepting company documents lacking new identification codes from the Register. It is advisable to contact as soon as possible your local statistical office to ensure that your company identification code complies with the new requirement.
