The bill by means of which the Empresa Colombiana de Gas - Ecogas was created was approved by the Colombian Congress. Ecogas , a state-owned industrial and commercial company will handle in an independent manner the transportation of natural gas in Colombia. The company will also be linked to the Empresa Colombiana de Petroleos - Ecopetrol , with which Ecogas will constitute a business group having as its sole purpose the coordination of the industrial and commercial activities of both companies.
