As a founding member of the Australian Legal Sector Alliance, an industry-led association with a mission to work collaboratively to promote sustainable practices across the legal sector, we are committed to our initiatives, both simple and complex. We have introduced stationery recycling drives, waste recycling, and reducing power usage through such initiatives as meeting room lighting reductions and utilities such as follow me print to avoid unnecessary printing.
We understand that reporting is key to demonstrating our commitment to sustainability and corporate responsibility. Reporting that aligns with and continually evolves to meet the best practice international models and the approaches expected by our clients and competitors.
The tenth Annual Review of the State of CSR in Australia and New Zealand, of 1,107 professionals from across corporate and government sectors found that assessing and reporting impact and performance was the highest sustainability priority. This survey showed that eighty-nine percent understood that sustainability reporting helped the reputation of their business and eighty-four percent said that it reduced risk.
