LEXINGTON, Ky.—Kentucky Nonprofit Network (KNN) recently elected Stites & Harbison, PLLC attorney Elizabeth "Betsy" Johnson to the organization's Board of Directors. She will serve a three-year term.

KNN is Kentucky's association of nonprofits. Since its founding in 2002, KNN's mission has been to strengthen and advance the Commonwealth's nonprofit community. It provides quality education, sharing of best practices and resources, time and money-saving member benefits and a unified public policy voice for its more than 1,000 member nonprofits.

Johnson is a Member (Partner) based in Stites & Harbison's Lexington, Ky., office. She concentrates her practice on all aspects of health care law, focusing on regulatory matters impacting both providers and payors. In her diverse career, she has served in both legal and policy roles in state government and the private sector. On behalf of governmental agencies and while in the private sector, she successfully advocated for the passage of legislation impacting health care by testifying before numerous legislative committees and meeting with members of the Kentucky legislature and members of Congress. Johnson has spent her career building and maintaining relationships with individuals on both the state and national level.

Outside of the firm, Johnson stays active in a variety of professional organizations. She is a member of the Kentucky Bar Association and the American Health Lawyers Association. She also serves on the American Health Care Association Legal Committee.
